The Explorations
The Catstanbul
Istanbul is often referred to as “Catstanbul,” as cats are deeply integrated into Istanbul’s culture and the daily life of its locals. I decided to add “Turkish taste” to the cat by blending the Ottoman design into the cat symbol, which could elevate the logo.
The Shahmaran
Shahmaran, who inspired this concept, is a mythical half-woman and half-snake figure. The complexity of the mythical form, moral narrative, and symbolic richness is much like Istanbul, a melting pot of diverse cultures and traditions.
The Architecture
Istanbul is famous for its rich and diverse art history. Inspired by the architecture of most domes in Istanbul, I incorporated the mosque floor plan with the Islamic pattern.
